Cathy Willen, Au.D., CCC-A
Dr. Cathy Willen has thirty-nine years of experience in the evaluation and rehabilitation of hearing in both children and adults. She received her B.A. Degree in Deaf Education in 1980 and an M.A. Degree in Audiology from Ball State University in Indiana. She was named the Outstanding Audiology Graduate in 1982. Dr. Willen was awarded the Clinical Doctorate (AuD) in Audiology from Arizona School of Health Sciences in 2002 and has worked in Cape Girardeau for the past twenty-nine years.
Dr. Willen has been recognized as a “Fellow” by the Academy of Audiology and has earned a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) through the American Speech and Hearing Association. Cathy served on the board of the Missouri Academy of Audiology for three years and was Vice President of the Academy in 2009 and President of the Academy in 2010.
Dr. Willen is married to Reid Willen and has two grown children who are also married. In her spare time, she loves to read, ride bikes, refinish furniture and travel to see family and friends. She says her greatest joy comes from feeling like she is helping someone, and therefore Audiology has proven to be the perfect career choice because she gets to help people hear better every day.
